I haven't visited my home town in close to over 3 years, and it's a small town, so when I go out shopping for menial things - I potentially bump into everyone I've ever known.
You know?
I guess I like to just feel anonymous when I'm buying my milk & bread. Having lived in a big city for so long, it's just so overwhelming sometimes to see friends from grade 1- 12 in a matter of minutes all at once.
I understand that feeling competely. I especially like it when I meet people from school that were horrible to me and the way they try to be friends because they forgot that after highschool all the people around them would move on, but they stayed behind.
I understand as well ! The other day I was just walking around in dark sunglasses hoping to avoid people I knew but alas, someone always recognizes. Almost half of the kids I graduated are married and have babies or just have babies. I share your strange feelings!
Haha XD "Yup! TWO!" I don't know why I found that so funny... I'll be off to uni this week! Maybe whenever I come back and visit I'll wear dark sunglasses too

God's in his heaven, all's right with the world.
I find it crazy that kids my age are married and having kids, cause I'm still waking up with bad hang overs and skipping art classes to sleep in.
Whenever I go back to my home town, I go down town and run into soooo many people.
What I hate is when I'm here in the place where I live now, and I run into kids from the old island either around town, on the bus or at school, and they expect that just because I remember them from high school, that we're friends? NO! WE'RE NOT FRIENDS!
Anyway... thats' the end of my rant. I totes get what you're saying, and I love it.

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

I don't really like seeing people I know when I'm out and about, unless I want to talk to them ofcourse.
I usually just run away and hide.
